Student Conflict Resolvers And Mediators ("SCRAM") SCRAM trains children and youth to mediate conflicts at their schools. We believe that mediation training provides leadership experience and promotes healthier schools, thereby building safer communities in a better world. ABOUT SCRAM SCRAM is a program dedicated to training kids how to be peacemakers. Children and youth can be taught to mediate all but the most sensitive conflicts that arise in school. Student mediators like SCRAM because it provides them with valuable leadership training and gives them the tools to assist peers in a meaningful way. Students who find themselves as parties in a peer-mediated dispute like SCRAM because they are empowered to find their own solutions to problems. Teachers and administrators like SCRAM because having student mediators frees them to meet the extraordinary professional demands they face every day. In ways both profound and subtle, a Peer Mediation program improves the culture of a school because it nurtures leaders and fosters respect for the dignity of all. SCRAM is a program run by the Center for Conflict Resolution (CCR), a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization based in Los Angeles County, CA. Check out CCR's website and Our About CCR page.
