ABOUT CONFLICT RESOLUTION

Conflict resolution is what mediators do.  Mediators are neutral parties who guide others in conflict
towards a mutually satisfactory agreement.   They do not make suggestions or give advice, but rather
preside over a methodical and respectful problem-solving process.

How is this accomplished?  Mediators provide ground rules, ask probing questions, encourage listening
as well as self-expression, and lead the parties in brainstorming/evaluating possible solutions.  A
successful mediation results in a written agreement that is endorsed and signed by both parties.  By
eliciting "buy-in" at every step of the way, mediators move parties towards resolutions that stick.  But
you don't have to take our word for it.....

What would I do

If I could suddenly feel

and to know once again

that what I feel is real

I could cry... I could smile

I might lay back for awhile...

Tell me what, what,
what would I do?

If I could FEEL....
